Heartland is the state-of-the-art manufacturing arm of the Blue Buffalo Company, a division of General Mills. Heartland/Blue Buffalo is the leader in the development and manufacturing of wholesome natural pet food for dogs and cats. Our facility began as a greenfield project in 2012 and become fully operational in 2014 producing dry food. The original facility also received an addition that culminated in 2018 to produce treats. It operates 24/7 and is SQF (Safe, Quality, Food) certified. The safety of our team members forms the foundation of our team-centered culture. In fact, the facility just recently celebrated the milestone of 2.0+ million hours without a lost-time injury that spanned over 4.5 years.
